Flexible Vacuum Bases

MJR’s flexible vacuum transport bases are designed to achieve maximum efficiency for most mail and print applications. Their clever construction (height adjustable, variable speed, change of movement direction (left/right) and mobility (on wheels), secures very easy operation.

These bases can be used as stand alone or in combination and can be fully interlocked to work inline with existing production lines or other modules.

Modularity that Works for You

  • Universal bridges to mount printers or other modules can be easily connected to the integrated rails.

  • Depending on your demands and applications add accessories like in- and outlet rollers, side guides, downholders, and monitor- and laptop stands.

  • Optional attachable feeder tables (fixed or tiltable) and a catch tray (when not using a conveyor).

  • Connectors to control upstream (e.g. feeders) and downstream (e.g. a conveyor) are standard starting at the HVT-130.


Dual Base

  • A dual base (2 bases in one frame with split belts) is perfect for mounting an inkjet system with a dryer (IR or UV).

  • There is enough space for post-drying the ink under an IR or UV-curing stations. Heat resistant belts are available as an option.

Dependable Conveyors

MJR offers a range of height adjustable, variable speed collection conveyors for the transport of mail pieces and similar products in different lengths.

The conveyors are capable of operating and delivering inline or at a 90 degree angle. The wide, solid belt is seamless, resulting in an effortless and smooth handling of your product. Standard bundle separation is provided by speeding up the conveyor between bundles. The high torque drive system is designed to handle large volume workloads ensuring years of dependable operation.

Divert Unit

Specialty’s divert unit is developed to remove individual pieces from a continuous flow of product on a inkjet transport base. The divert gate can be controlled by Specialty’s inkjet printers or the FlexVision system, but can also be operated by any other piece of equipment like barcode readers and camera systems from other vendors.

Powered by its own variable speed motor, mobile, and height adjustable, the divert unit can be linked to any transport system. A fast electric solenoid operates the divert mechanism eliminating the need of compressed air. Products are diverted into a catch tray at the bottom of the device.

Easy and Flexible deployment

  • The divert unit is designed to be a single stand alone divert powered by it’s own variable speed DC motor.

  • The unit is height adjustable and on wheels allowing easy integration with any transport base.

  • The 4 x 3” belts cover the complete transport width, eliminating the need for belt adjustment.

  • Accessories like in- and outlet rollers and side guides can be easily connected to the integrated rails.

  • Multiple divert units can be linked.

  • The standard system is designed for left-to-right configuration. A right-to-left configuration is available upon request.

  • Strong and quite gate, allowing thicker products to be diverted.

Friction Feeders

The friction feeders that MJR offers are designed to take the hassle out of feeding. In today’s competitive marketplace, users need feeders they can count on to run whatever comes their way. Revolutionary features enable the feeders to easily handle a wide range of media types and sizes from business cards to large catalogs, and almost everything in between.

The feeders offers simple setup, versatility, and reliability. The R12 feeders handles up to 12” wide stock and the R14 feeders up to 14” at speeds up to 40,000 pieces per hour! If necessary, friction feeders that handle up to 20” wide material are available.

Vacuum Shuttle Feeder

The vacuum shuttle feeder is particularly well suited for feeding products like magazines, brochures, catalogues and of course standard mail pieces like envelopes and single sheets. The VSF1 accommodates product 3" wide by 3.5" long (75 x 90 mm) up to 18.1" wide by 17.7" long (460 x 450 mm).

Like all shuttle feeders, the VSF1 runs continuous because its hopper is loaded from the top and feeds from the bottom. Equipped with a DC variable speed motor, vacuum pump and roller cabinet, the VSF1 runs with most inline addressing systems.

Flexible and Precise Feeding

  • Consistently feeds a wide assortment of product including

    magazines, brochures, cards, newspapers, envelopes, and sheets.

  • For best possible feeding there are three different vacuum

    plates available: concave, flat and curve.

  • The continuously adjustable speed and the setting possibilities

    of the vacuum enable a precise supply of different products.
